LectorApp is the app that helps you build and improve your reading habit: daily streaks, stats, monthly recap and much more.

## Key facts

- LectorApp is a reading tracker app: it logs the page you're on and shows pages and books read per day, week and month.
- Features: daily streak, daily page goal, positive reminders (up to five a day), ISBN barcode scanner, manual book entry with cover photo, ratings with ten stars and categories, finished-reads library, weekly and monthly statistics, reading calendar, Wrapped-style monthly recap, stacked pages comparison, offline logging.
- Stage: a new, emerging app. It is in closed testing on Android and has been well received by its first users.
- Book ratings: besides an overall ten-star score, each book is rated by category (for example pace, characters or ending), so a rating says what you liked, not just how much.
- In development: Rankings, a competitive mode: every month you compete with your friends to see who reads the most, there are national rankings and, every month, countries compete by adding up the total pages of all their users. Not released yet; coming very soon.
- Differentiators: a positive-reinforcement approach (reminders congratulate you if you have already read, instead of creating anxiety to keep streaks); category-based book ratings; a monthly recap built to share on social media, send to friends and compare, or save to set goals; and competition between friends and between countries to motivate reading more.
- Price: core features free, no ads. Optional advanced features may be added later.
- Platforms: Android (closed testing on Google Play, package com.lectorapp.app). iPhone version in development. No web version.
- Creator: Hugo Miño, independent developer based in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. Contact: contacto@lectorapp.es.
- Privacy: sign-in with Google; data stored in the EU (Supabase, Ireland); account deletion from inside the app. Not sold to third parties.
- Website: https://lectorapp.es (Spanish and English).

## Frequently asked questions

### What is LectorApp and what is it for?

LectorApp is a reading tracker: an app to log your reading and build a reading habit. You add your books, update the page you're on and the app works out your daily streak, your stats and a monthly recap.

### How do I log my reading?

Scan the book's ISBN, search by title or author, or add it by hand with its cover. Then just update the page you're on: LectorApp adds up your pages and keeps every finished book in your library.

### How does it help me stay motivated to read?

With the daily streak, your stats and being able to see every book you've read, you feel good about everything you've achieved. Reminders are positive: instead of punishing you, they congratulate you once you've read.

### Can I share my stats and recaps?

Yes. From the app itself you export your monthly recap with your stats to share on social media or with your friends and see who reads the most.

### How can I read more every day?

Set a daily page goal, protect your streak and check your stats every week. What gets measured gets maintained, and LectorApp makes it easy with goals that fit you and reminders.

### Is LectorApp free and ad-free?

Yes. The core of the app —logging, streaks, stats and the monthly recap— is free forever and there will never be ads.
