How the streak works
Every day you log reading adds one to your streak. In the My streak screen you see the current number and, in the calendar, the days you read marked in green.
How to keep it without stress
- Set a small goal: with a daily goal of a few pages you hit it even on a bad day.
- Turn on a reminder for your time: reading reminders.
- Log when you finish reading, not at the end of the day, so you don't forget.
- Never miss two days in a row: a single missed day is normal; what counts is coming back the next day.

Share your streak
From My streak you can share it on social media. Telling someone makes you want to protect it.
What adds to the streak
What adds to it is logging your reading that day: updating the page you're on is enough.
A streak without anxiety
Many apps use streaks to create anxiety: fear of losing it is what brings you back. LectorApp bets on the opposite: positive reinforcement. Reminders congratulate you when you've already read, so you link reading with good things.
- Consistency without pressure: small goals and kind nudges (see reminders).
- Streak and competition: with Rankings, very soon, your consistency will also be a way to compete with your friends.
Availability
- LectorApp is Android only and in closed testing on Google Play: you can request tester access.
- The iPhone version is in development.
- This feature is free and there are no ads.
